Privacy Policy

Golden Bicep · Last updated 7 August 2026

Golden Bicep does not have accounts, does not track you, and does not upload your workouts. Everything you record stays on your device. The only information that ever leaves it is the anonymous purchase data needed to check whether you have an active subscription.

1. Information we collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information. Golden Bicep has no sign-up, no user accounts, and no login. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, or date of birth, and the app requests no access to your location, camera, photos, contacts, or Apple Health data.

2. Information you enter, and where it lives

The app stores what you record in a database inside its own private container on your device, including:

This data is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. We have no server that receives it, and we cannot see it. It is not synced to iCloud by the app. It is included in your device backups only if you back up your device, in which case it is governed by Apple’s privacy policy rather than ours.

Deleting the app removes this data from your device. Because we never receive a copy, there is nothing for us to delete on our side and no request you need to send us.

3. Subscriptions and purchases

Golden Bicep offers an auto-renewable subscription that unlocks the full statistics history. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment details, card numbers, or billing address.

We use RevenueCat, a third-party service, to validate App Store receipts and keep track of whether a subscription is active. RevenueCat receives anonymous purchase data such as product identifiers, purchase and renewal dates, the subscription’s status, and an anonymous identifier the SDK generates for your installation (for example $RCAnonymousID:…).

That identifier is not linked to your real identity. Because the app has no accounts, we never associate it with an email address, a name, or any other contact information. This data is used only to validate purchases, grant access to paid features, and see aggregate subscription totals. It is not used to track you across other apps or websites, and Golden Bicep contains no advertising or attribution frameworks.

RevenueCat’s handling of this data is described in their privacy policy.

4. Third-party SDKs

Golden Bicep contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, no cross-app tracking, and no data brokers. It does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and therefore never presents an App Tracking Transparency prompt.

The only third-party components in the app are RevenueCat, described above, and Couchbase Lite, a database library that runs entirely on your device and sends nothing anywhere.

5. Children

Golden Bicep is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Since the app collects no personal information at all, there is none to remove.

6. Changes to this policy

If the app’s data practices change, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised. Because this page is published from a public Git repository, its full revision history is open to inspection.
